A good second chance romance.

I have to admit, I was disappointed. I was really looking forward to Brent's book. I loved him from reading the other 2 books in this series. However... I just didn't connect with him. Their relationship just seemed too easy to me and despite the fact that they both wanted to earn their money, they (especially Brent) seemed a bit spoiled to me.

*4.5*

“One will be a cowboy, one a knight, and the other, a prince. They’ll save people. Every day. And they’ll have beautiful superhero wives who save them. And they all lived happily ever after"

Ahhh such a beautiful ending!!!! I cried with that..

Brent Mason didn't disappoint me. He's hilarious, sexy and a sweet prince indeed.
The only thing I didn't quite liked was Kennedy, I'm sorry but she can be really bitchy sometimes and that annoys me.

BUT the story is beautiful and lovely and hot. I laughed out loud so hard with Brent. And see Stanton with Sofia (I wish I could read a novella about the birth of Samuel, surely it was hilarious in Stanton's POV.) And Jake with Chelsea and all the kids! Adorable!

They all make an amazing and beautiful family.

Oh yeah I loved that second epilogue. Can you imagine another series with Jake's, Stanton's and Brent's children?? and imagine that Samuel could be with one of the Jake's kids, Robert (Jake's son) with Vivian (Brent's daughter)

That would be AWESOME. I need more Emma Chase! DON'T EVER STOP WRITING!

This was a great addition to the legal briefs series. I enjoyed the characters (old and new). I just think that I would have liked this book more if I hadn't just read Jake's story. I didn't expect to like Jake's story as much as I did, and reading this one had me coming down off of the high. In the previous book, I literally laughed out loud, something I don't often do when reading books. To be fair, I found myself smiling like an idiot while reading this one, and I think I only noticed because I was on the treadmill at the gym when I realized I must look like a complete idiot. Had I not had the comparison, I probably would have liked this book more, and because of that I am sticking with a solid 4 stars. I felt the reformed prick and hard hearted heroine thing worked for them, but left something missing from the dynamic. I almost think I would have liked it more if I had gotten in h's head a bit more. I really liked the first few chapters and the way the book jumps in time. I didn't really care much for h's side story of the retried case. Didn't grab me really. It felt like that had a lot of little stumbles and the last one to be resolved was supposed to be a bigger deal than it was. As a whole I liked it very much and am really getting to love Emma Chase's men! She may not write a 'real' man perspective (would have to get a man to read her work, it isn't up for me to say, and my husband hasn't volunteered as of yet) but she writes what women hope men are thinking, and I f'ing love every bit of that potty mouth!!!

Seriously Emma Chase keeps doing it right!

I love that that her main characters are from the male Point of View as well as giving us the female view from their eyes.

I love all of her books but this series hit my heart hard.

Cherries popped like crazy!

Where can I find my own Brent???

It's not fair that Kennedy gets him.  I might need to fight her to get him...he is totally worth it.

Oh wait, that is right, Brent is fictional but if he wasn't, I would be all on it!

I loved how the banter between him and Kennedy kept me entertained throughout the book.  I was laughing, swooning, hot and bothered by all the dominating sexiness that came out of that naughty mouth of Brent and brought out a different side of Kennedy we did not know existed.

Being different in high society is hard and these 2 characters show us that even though they had it rough and it molded them into the adults that they are now, it's never okay to let anyone bring you down.  Being a strong individual is what makes you succeed in life & finding the one you are meant to be with!

The Epilogue and extra at the end totally made me do a happy dance!

Perfect Ending to this amazing series!

 5 Cherries Popped

funny lighthearted fast-paced

I had a high expectations for Brent’s book, and this partially delivered.

brent was exactly how I imagined, a golden retriever boy with some emotional intelligence.

kennedy wasn’t exactly my cup of tea. the woman with trust issues isn’t my favorite trope.

the plot was very fast paced, but I already expected that from emma chase. I liked that the relationship conflicts weren’t too drown out and that they communicated with each other.

overall it was an okay read, it didn’t hold a candle to sustained, but o also didn’t expect it to.

loved the cameos from the previous couples!
