Followed along as my son finished chapters. Very cute book.

Great for a classroom read. So many extensions and ideas could come from reading this.

My daughter made me read this (I guess she inherited the browbeating thing). It made me cry. Awesome book about a young man with the potential to change the world.

AND -- I just read another review which says this book is a winner of the Maud Hart Lovelace Award!

I just loved this book. I couldn't help but think of Alan Smith the whole time I was reading it.

Super cute kids book. I read it in elementary school and completely forgot about it until recently. Definitely worth the re-read. I think it's an interesting take on slang and the evolution of language, which is not something I picked up on when I read it for the fist time over 20 years ago, especially from before the age of social media.

A rare perfect book. Not sure how I missed reading this as a kid.

Listened to this audiobook on a two hour car drive, and it was perfect. My 6yo and I giggled a bunch, and the hours in the car flew by. My 3yo napped for half of it, but while she was awake she listened to and enjoyed the story. The main character mentions his year of birth at the end of the story, and it’s only a year after mine, so clearly this is a book that stands the rest of time.

Just finished reading this book to my third graders.. this was my 2nd or 3rd class I have read Frindle too.. today however I cried TWICE as the book neared its end.. Excellent read for kids!

This little kid book actually made me cry. It was very cute
