I got this book as part of a mystery book calendar. The synopsis was:
- Chilling midnight dissections
- Female detective
- Pulse-pounding chase
- Dark surgical secrets
Pretty sure the person who wrote that did not read this book. Maybe, like, one of those things is true. I'm fairly certain the author wrote as many thriller "twists" into the book to keep the plot going because they accidentally wrapped the climax too soon.

I literally tried reading this book multiple times in 2023 and each time I could get past like 50 pages. It had a very slow start. So I made it goal to get this book read completely in 2024 because I was determined. It took about 12 hours to read completely because I keep getting distracted by other things, which, if I have a really good book, I can normally finish a book this size in 3-4 hours.
