This was a quick read that reminded me of Frieda McFadden's books. There were several plot twists, some predicted and some not.

Did Dr. Anne Wiley kill her patient? What was her connection to her patient? Why does the State Prosecutor have such a personal interest in this case?

This was....not great. The plot was not only repetitive but also predictable. The characters were flat and uninteresting, and they were unlikeable. Anne, one of the FMCs, was annoying and overly obsessive. The other FMC, Paula, was just as bad. With the lack of likable characters and a predictable, repetitive plot, this book left me uninterested in what was happening. On top of that, the plot felt sloppy. How did Paula not realize that the man in the photos that she pulled of Caleb was the man the SA'd her and her sister? Unrealistic. How did Anne not know about Paula? She lived with Melanie for 5 years, and she was never brought up, not once, that she had a sister. Unbelievable. Had I been separated from my brother, especially in a home where we were being SA'd; I would have been trying to get to him. This was the first book I have read by this author, and I am very wary of trying another.
