I really enjoyed how this made me think like a Frieda McFadden book. However, my brain struggled a little bit with the pov jumps— especially if I needed a moment during a chapter.

Agree with other reviewers that Paula was despicable, but I liked that. Anne, our main character had such potential but came off as weak until the very last sentence. I didn’t like the total character shift in the very end. Characters we’ve been building for the whole book suddenly act differently? I don’t think so.

predictable in my opinion, but still a fun read nonetheless

the story is good, but the writing isn’t. very repetitive to the point of having to scan-read full paragraphs in order to get to new information.
oh and i would be remiss to not telling yall that if i never hear/read/think of the word “port-wine stain” ever again, it would be too soon.
mysterious slow-paced

Read this in under 48 hours since I just couldn't put it down! There was a twist at the end that I didn't predict. Good weekend read

I really liked this book. I didn’t see the twist coming which always makes a crime mystery more interesting. I went from being annoyed by Anne to rooting for her. I enjoyed this one. 4.5 ⭐️
