I experienced every emotion while reading this! What a novel!!! 10/10 recommend. Didn't expect the ending at all! Would be a great movie for adults.
Also, the only negative thing I have to say is I wish I knew beforehand that I was reading about 2 different people. That should have been on the cover.

This book was an absolute page-turner with an enthralling plot twist that I thoroughly enjoyed. It was a fast-paced and accessible read. However, while it kept me engaged, I wished for a more substantial ending!. Nonetheless, the book was generally a satisfying read.
i felt like this was a very slow read with a frustrating main character! buuuut i did like the twists at the end and how it came together
This one had me procrastinating tasks because I couldn’t put the book down. Second day reading it I told my husband I needed to finish it that night so I’d get work done tomorrow, so I did. The chapters alternate from the surgeon’s point of view and a third person story of the assistant state attorney, a connection between the two I never saw coming.
This was a decent thriller- there were definitely twists I didn’t expect. I felt it was a little slow at times, but that might have been my pace of reading. I feel it could be better read in a few long sittings (which is not what I did). I found myself wanting more from the ending as well.
Did not see the twist for the killer. First time reader of Leslie. Enjoyed the book.
2.5 stars
The advance reviews for “The Surgeon” were so good that I was excited to get approved for the ALC! Unfortunately, the narration was not great (for me) so that was a hurdle from the starting gate. The blurb was also a bit misleading as the surgeon’s patient was already dead on the table when she first recognized who he was. It diluted the whole premise of the book when there was no “did she or didn’t she” tension to follow. I have to admit that I also struggled with the plot and characters as the first half was so repetitive and every character was unsympathetic for the reader. It made me less invested once the twists started coming in the second half. I do have to admit though that a few of those twists almost made it worthwhile! This was my first book by Leslie Wolfe but I’ll still give another one a try.

this was an okay book. it was a fast read and did have a couple good twists near the end. however, i did not like one of the characters and didn’t like how the author tried to make us side with them in the end. also, i was able to guess one of the twists pretty early on.
Great read, really enjoyed it.
