This thriller was okay. I seem to read a lot of medical thrillers and I’m not quite sure what that says about me but anyway. I liked the dual POV at first but then Paula’s character started to massively annoy me. I get that’s the point but still. I did enjoy this one enough to pretty much finish in one sitting, but it did leave something to be desired for me. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this one.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The character development was fantastic. The plot was very good and gripped me from the beginning. It does have a repetitive trope, but I was totally fine with that based on the execution and the ability to entertain the reader. The only reason I am giving this 4.5 stars instead of 5 is because I do not like explicit sex scenes and skipped over the few included not knowing if I had missed any details regarding the plot. There was also one detail that I just find unrealistic in regards to the plot, but it obviously makes for a good story. I would definitely pick up another book by this author.

3.5 ⭐️ enjoyed the ending and wasn’t expecting the twists but took a while to get there!

It was alright. Interesting book. The twist wasn’t predictable but it was slow.
