The reason I gave this book a 5 star is that I liked the series as a whole. Although there were things in this book that didn't really agree with me--for instance most of the twists from the first half seemed a bit predictable, and Lyss' over-altruistic behavior seemed a bit unreal to me--I loved the author's style. I think this was an original story, carried out at a fast pace and with a beautiful voice.

A phenomenal conclusion to a great little duology.
So many twists and turns, but they all felt natural. Well paced, great characterisation, just an overall great read.

3.5⭐️. Didn’t capture me like Whisper did. It felt like there was something missing. A lot of biding their time. Waiting around. 407 pages was possibly 100 too many.
It wrapped things up nicely though. Whisper left me with questions, Weapon left me satisfied with the ending, just not the journey.

This was an adequate conclusion to the storyline and I enjoyed it.
SPOILERS
I did have a problem with how every single character turned out to be related to someone or dating someone or best friends with someone before their memory was wiped. It all seemed a bit much and a little unbelievable.
It was slightly annoying that everyone kept coming back from the dead too.
I also felt like the ending was a bit of a rushed happily ever after.
But I would still recommend the series as a light YA XMen-ish read.
