While the FMC’s thoughts and even actions were a bit repetitive, I was very shocked by the many twists and turns in Weapon! I was worried this duology would follow the same formula as other dystopian series, but there were definitely differences (which I enjoyed). Lynette Noni answered all our questions, uncovered multiple secrets, and brought everything together quite nicely, although I almost wish the series had been extended into a third book! It would have been cool to see the aftermath and the development of our FMC’s powers, the romance, and the Speaker groups. Overall, this was a fun ride and is freshly added to my list of recommended dystopian series!
I really loved this book and series! Super engaging, easy to read, great concept and storyline, lovely characters. I enjoyed this series a lot and loved returning to my love of young adult dystopian / fantasy / scifi literature.
If anything, while the plot twists were great and made an interesting, page -turning story, I could kind of see them coming and guessed them a few times. But it didn't take away from the story at all! This was a fun, easy read that got me back out of a disappointing previous read. Great way to start the year!

I liked this book! Great pacing and action.
A rollicking good yarn, but let down for me by a bit too many twisty bits because they ended up being a bit too predictable.
Plus late intro of characters and multiple retelling of the same events is a little bit cheaty.
But this review is entirely subjective, my teen rated it 5. So

This gives me vibes of an alternate life that El from stranger things could have had and I throughly enjoyed every minute of it. I genuinely did not see the end reveal to finally give us some answers coming and what a joy that was
