Boek 1 en 2 had ik binnen de 24uur uitgelezen. Ik schrok er stiekem zelf van.
Bij het eerste boek was ik helemaal verkocht aan alle geheimen en het mysterieuze kantje van Rush. Plots schakelde de schrijfster van één perspectief over naar twee. Vond ik dat erg? Helemaal niet!
Mijn liefde voor Rush groeide enkel. Al begon ik ook steeds meer zijn donkere kant te ontdekken. Dat Rush zeer bezitterig is en ergens misschien wat wantrouwig, bracht een heleboel tegenstrijdige emoties met zich mee.
Plots blijkt Blaire ook zwanger te zijn. Nu ja, dat hadden we ergens al wel kunnen zien aankomen. Wat ik hieraan jammer vond, was dat er geen hints gegeven werden aan het einde van het vorige boek of begin van deze. Je wist als lezer helemaal niets en viel maar uit de lucht. Het had fijn geweest mocht ik ook wat meedenken over wat er gaande kon zijn.
Het hele baby-gedoe bracht me na een tijdje ook naar een geïrriteerd punt. Dan zal ze het hem niet vertellen, dan weer wel, of toch maar niet, maar toch hoort hij het te weten. Flapt ze het er ook gewoon doodleuk uit.
Wat ik miste uit het eerste deel was de pure chemie tussen Rush en Blaire. Ik merkte wat verschil op en vond dat nog een beetje vroeg in hun relatie.
Ook de zelfverzekerde Blaire en haar sterke karakter miste ik een beetje. Ze gaf in alles wel vrij snel toe en ik kon haar niet zo goed volgen.
Hoewel ik van het tweede boek genoten heb, was de eerste in mijn ogen nog steeds een knaller!

I just.. Have no words to describe how I'm feeling right now..
I feel like I waited forevah for this book to come out, and let me tell you, it DID NOT disappoint!
The chemistry is still there between Rush and Blaire right from the beginning, and its even more intense than last time..
I honestly could not put this book down, it pained me to do so. I wish the book had been longer but that's the only bad thing I can say - except "rush could you be any more of a dumb shit??"
Abbi has once again knocked it outta the park for me with this one! Well done and can't wait for the next one.

so close to being a hot mess. Blaire was weepy and delicate even before the pregnancy hormones and Rush was a complete d-bag. They kept saying they were going to do something like put Blaire first (Rush) or take care of herself (Blaire), but never actually did it. And sorry, but actions speak louder than words. Even in books. 1.5 stars.

I read this book in 1 day. Yes, you read quickly and easily. but this book is only for one time.

Not a bad read but honestly not the best. Rush is an a-hole who treats Blaire like dirt and is constantly apologizing and promising he won’t do it again...but he does. And Blaire is an over sensitive and has absolutely no self worth. How is this the girl that held a gun on Grant?
The Medicaid thing at the end really pissed me off. I’ve never once felt that being on Medicaid was bad but apparently us poor folk get the shaft... and a nurse excepting payments? Really? And unreasoned technician does the ultra sound not the nurse!
