While book one is a forever favorite, I can't say the same about this book. There is a basic cycle of how this goes. Rush promises Blair the moon, does something stupid, apologizes, and starts over at step one. I forgot how much his issues with Nan and how he handled them annoyed me. Moving on to my reread of book three!

Abbi Glines has gotten me hooked. 4.5 stars for sure! There were a lot of ups and downs, but God damn that ending.

Since reading her sea breeze series, I know what this author has a formula and it works really well if you just for reading and not for anything deep or profound. Blair has run back home after her world comes crashing down with secrets that Rush hid. Only soon after that she has her own secret too keep. Her first boyfriend pleads, begs and agrees to anything to win her love back. His cheating made her realize she does love him but not the way he needs to be loved. Things in this book are rushed at time, how easy she returns to Rosemary, how she picks her life back up like she didn't run for the hills and how easy Rush and Blair fall back together.

My 4 star rating is because even though Rush keeps messing up, Blair keeps going back. Also Nan plays the perfect mean girl who feels life is out to get her, this gets old after a while. And the secrets which come to light in book one get all twisty in this one.

I feel like the ending was so abrupt. It left me wanting more of Rush and Blaire's story. I hope there is more to this series.

I started this immediately following the end of Fallen Too Far and finished it the same day. I feel like my excitement from Fallen Too Far completely up’d my pleasure in this book. I loved that we had Rush’s POV in this one. It was just a great sweet story. I felt like everything was tied up in a pretty little bow. The ending seemed a little rushed, but I read a follow up chapter that Abbi put out and I am now satisfied. I guess the only thing I didn’t like in this book was how passive Blaire was when Rush f’d up. I mean she was so forgiving and some of that stuff should not have been forgiven so quickly by her tough as nails character, even for a hot sex god like Rush. Contrary to popular opinion, sex doesn’t fix everything, but in this book, it does. I would’ve liked a little more angst (not back and forth though), but I still loved it. I can’t wait for more.

What an easy read, I could barely put the book down long enough to do anything else I had to do during the day. Thankfully it wasn't hard to read. I enjoyed the characters, I just wish Blaire would give Rush a break sometimes. He's not perfect, but he's showing her time and time again that he is trying. I recognize that she is insecure and trying to be fiercely independent, but she needs to trust Rush and his words that his love for her is at face value. Otherwise, this union is never going to work for the long run. And for a character who wants the best for her baby, she's got to trust him and not have to prove himself without her threatening to run away everytime.
