This is cute, sweet, "older" (33-34) woman romance and I enjoyed it. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is kind of unfair - I just happened to enjoy the Half Orc's Maiden Bride a little bit more and read it first even though this one is supposed to be first. But there's no complaints or anything about the novella! Could have used a Turnip I suppose? haha

This was a fun little read. I think I made the mistake of reading the other books of this series first before this one so it kinda spoiled it for me but I liked it all the same. I really like Ruby Dixon's writing style and this one ticks all the boxes for me.

It's centered around this marriage ceremony with an unlikely interspecies couple, they banter and communicate pretty well with each other. The conflict in the story was pretty tame and again because I read the other stories first I wasn't holding my breath or anything for it. I was already familiar with the world at this point so I just didn't feel much while I was reading.
