this book was the definition of the phrase “trust the process”. ngl in the beginning i was confused and only had a vague idea about what was actually happening. it felt like it wasn’t really going anywhere until like the last 40% AND (i dont know if its just me) i didnt enjoy how we knew very little of the characters other than the few facts that were already given, it kind of made me feel detached from getting to actually know them. however i can not lie that this book quite literally stole my breath towards the end, i was reading through chapters like my life depended on it. dare i say i enjoyed this more than divine rivals??? i do think this would’ve been one of my favourite books ever if it was just a little longer but i cant really complain because at the end of the day, the only reason im out of my reading slump is thanks to this book so
