Previously published as Honeycote, this was the first Veronica Henry that I ever read and it was an absolute pleasure to reread.
A must read for fans of Jilly Cooper - set in the heart of the Cotswolds, this wonderfully entertaining story focuses on the Lilliard family and the family brewery. There is a vast array of characters and many interlinking plot threads.

I disliked the Liddiard family - so self absorbed!

While overall I did like this book I really did not like the cheating,I am not usually against it in a story but I just found it a little too much for my liking. If it is not an issue for you then you will like this book the writing was good and if flowed well.

Love this book, how can you not fall in love with the wonderful house of Honeycote and the Liddiard family. The book revolves around the residents of Honeycote house, the Honeycote brewery is falling apart and losing money, Mickey Liddiard can't stop himself from drinking, having an affair and trying to keep the business afloat without anyone finding out. His children and wife have no idea until it all starts crashing down around them.

For more than half the book I was struggling with the number of characters and no obvious clues as to who was most central to the story. Each scene change I would have to stop as each person was mentioned and try and remind myself who they were and what their story was. Ultimately this proved just too distracting for me to really like this book. Hopefully the subsequent books in the series each have a smaller subset of characters (and a few more likeable ones!) as I think I would enjoy that a lot more. The setting (physical location and business premise) were definitely interesting.
