A lot of this short book went over my head, with many references to Jameson, Zizek, Kafka, and other philosophers. The language was also challenging for me.

That said, it was still informative, giving many areas of further reading.
I especially enjoyed Fisher's analysis of films and how they were shaped by Capitalist Realism, as well as its role in today's world.

Adding this into the list cause I found the date I listened on audible.

Pretty accessible but dark listen, Fisher is both creative and attainable in his forecasting and feelings. I think this is a good primer for harder leftist literature

Great insights but it would benefit from some intersectionality. The experiences of marginalized groups under capitalism are not highlighted at all.

I expected it to say more, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
