Okay first of all, WHAT WAS THAT ENDING? HUH? HOW ARE YOU GONNA END A BOOK LIKE THAT? Anyways. I loved this book. I was so excited to see Jacks again. I love Evangeline. She’s my new baby and I love her. I love the new magic system in this one, and I love hearing the history of the North. I’m so excited to continue with this series. CAN JACKS STOP BEING A LITTLE PROBLEM FOR ONE BOOK? I LOVE HIM, BUT STOP. Can he not set Evangeline up to open this stupid arch? Anyways, I give this book 4.5/5 stars, and I’m excited to continue.

It was okay. I could see how some people would like it. Certain plot points were very entertaining, but something about the writing style just didn’t mesh with me, particularly for the first half of the book
