I'm not much of a mystery/detective story kind of girl anymore, but I got this book for free and gave it a try. It looked fun, and it was actually surprisingly good. Heather as both a character and narrator is great to read and well done. The mystery itself was not predictable, at least not to me, which gives it more points in my book. Very possibly am considering getting the sequels!

Easy, fun, light-hearted read. At times Heather got on my nerves, but for me that's typical of the lead female characters in contemporary chick lit.

They day Heather and Cooper get together will be the greatest day of my life.

I have to say I was not expecting this book to so good. I listened to it in my car and kept track of where I was with book. I actually found myself anticipating driving in my car just so I could listen to this book. Also the person narrating the book on CD is fantastic.

This was cute and fun, but I never really invested in Heather's life enough to want to keep on with the series. Some good red herrings in here and an interesting setting and backstory, but Heather as a character felt a little inconsistent. Does she want to go to school or write music? Does she really love Cooper or is it a crush? There were a few too many instances when I really didn't understand her or her motivations, but still an entertaining read.

The writing of this is just awful. Super repetitive, superficial. The main character is also very annoying and not likable.

Cheesy, young, chick-lit mystery. Easy story to listen to in the car.
