Heather is delusional, and a tad bit annoying

This was my first audio book and it has made my commute so much more enjoyable I have reserved her next one at the library.

The first three chapters were good. The narrator, Laurel Lefkow, was great at changing voices with characters. The "chipmonk" at the start was great.

The next few chapters got a bit blah, and really slowed down. But once it hit about chapter 15 it perked up again and started to get really interesting.

I kept thinking I knew who it was, but was at no stage anywhere close. Oh and I think I love Cooper.

I have to borrow the book to record some great quotes. The song to chapter 15ish and the end of the second last chapter which I found hilarious.

Didn't finish

Meg Cabot is one of my favorite go-to novelists. Her books are witty and heartwarming and never fail to make me smile. (April 19 2016)

Hilarious. I just wanted to keep reading until the end. Heather Wells is a wonderful leading lady. Boy, oh boy, am I glad this is a series!

I was a little confused with the timeline of events (like when Heather & Jordan broke up, when she gained weight & moved in with Cooper). At least to me, it was a little unclear. But I was also mostly reading this before bed so I can't be certain I was reading things right.

Okay, so, elevator surfing-- what?! I have never heard of that. Is that a thing? Because that's terrifying. I guess it's a thing. Am I really that sheltered? In any case, I had no idea what it was about so it seemed the tiniest bit farfetched. Not like, entirely, but enough for me to say what. (No but for real, so I googled it-- this shit is crazy.)

The mystery was really well done. I had no clue as to whodunnit. There was one thing I saw coming
Spoiler when Sarah called Heather to say Rachel was dead but it was really a trap.
But that's it.

"It is a documented fact. I read it in People magazine"

This book is so much fun and I can't wait to pick up the rest of the series! I also had to go out and buy Dove bars because ugh--so good & I completely forgot they existed.

The "dorm, I mean residence hall" joke got old pretty fast. It was funny at first but then it really got on my nerves because of how often it was mentioned in the beginning.

As far as the ending goes, the last few pages felt rushed. Which is weird because it's a series so I thought that was a little strange.

Also, yay for the body positivity! Because size 12 is very not fat. I love that there's even a book with this title.

Note: Thought it was written in 2005, it feels timeless. And I so appreciate that. I love that I can read this for the first time in 2016 and feel like the events could still happen today. I mean, I know 11 years isn't that long in terms of lifestyles of contemporary characters but still.

Meg Cabot, Queen. That is all.

This is a fun mystery series. Cabot writes a lot of YA and the pacing and style of her adult novels shows that.

I enjoy reading Meg Cabot. I loved the Princess Diaries and I've read some of the non-series books too. So I thought this would be good, especially with a title that references a size 12.

I liked this book. It's not the best that I've ever read but it was entertaining enough for a weekend. I plan to read the next books in the series too.

So I read the whole book and I'm still not sure how I feel. at one point I almost put it down due to how unrealistic things were. elevator surfing? come on! I was shocked at the end when in the about the author it said Meg worked for a college cuz I felt her college kids were the fakest more unrealistic thing ever. oh and all those word misspelled trying to be slang or whatever.. wow I was so frustrated and almost quit the book because of that.. worst one: Rilly (really) I would like to see Meg go spend a month straight with college kids before she writes another book with them in it. but that being said I kept coming back to this book and I found myself wanting Cooper and Heather to get together.

This book was a good mystery. I thought it interesting that a former pop star would become an employee at a college. I loved Heather and her struggle to find out what was happening in the dorms as well as her crush Cooper.

I love Heather Wells. One of my favorite Meg Cabot series.

If I had read this book first, I might not have read the others in the series. In this book, Heather is just too ditzy and the plot too improbable.
