I know i know. Even i didn’t expect this rating because even tho some parts of this book made it seem like it should be rated lower, my vibes didn’t agree so i just let my instincts do its thing and I’m happy with that.

Why wasn't this book 5 stars you ask? Because Beau needed to have a girlfriend. Not an actual girlfriend that he's dating, so much as a best friend who's a girl who could have definitely helped him out of his mess with Payne. Oh my goodness, I just wanted to shake Beau so many times. And when I tell you he really did need to have a girlfriend that could set him straight and get him doing what he needed to be doing! He needed that. I would have been his bestie. We didn't need to have sex. I'm good with that. He's rich. He's funny, he's neurotic. What more could I have asked for?
But on a serious note, this was the sweetest most adorable story I have read in a hot minute. I loved reading about Beau and Payne. The spicy scenes were SPICY! It was hot. So, so, so hot. I ate that s*** up. But I liked that it was more than just sex. You really got to see the relationship develop betweenPayne and Brau. You got to see Payne realize that his life didn't stop after his divorce. You got to see that Payne began to realize he was worth so much more and deserved so much more than his a****** of an ex-husband could ever give him. Also what he did to Payne was so out of pocket and downright disrespectful. I was angry. I was like, please! Miss me with that. There could be no explanation. You cannot make this better.
I also really love the relationships that Payne had. Between the men of the DMC, his family, Beau, just the people in his life were wonderful. They loved him and it showed. They accepted him and it showed. You could also just tell that Payne is a good man. He's just a good person. And Beau, sweet, sweet Beau. He was such a mess. But I loved everything about him. I loved the way his mind worked. I loved how neurotic and anxious he was. I loved how he was trying so hard to be everything everyone else wanted and yet forgot the things that made him special. It was also really wonderful to see how Payne worked to help him appreciate the things about himself that were worthy and special and showed him that he did not need to change. Not for anyone.

This was such a sweet & fun romance. I absolutely adored Beau, he is such a chaotic little sweetheart.
He is so precious, he is just so lovable & loyal, he loves so hard.
I love the awkwardness & chemistry between Beau & Payne.
I love how Beau is there for Payne, they have an easy relationship, Payne is able to really open up to Beau and he listens and shows Payne he’s great, just the way he is, that he didn’t deserve what happened to him.
I also adore how Payne likes all of Beau’s quirks, he doesn’t feel the need to change him, he isn’t bothered by them and he really listens and has conversations.
Their chemistry is incredible & their passion is scorching.
