This was a wild ride of a read, this college for mafia kids is extremely tough as nails but so captivating due to the games, the classes, the different groups of mafia kids, and the general consensus of how far away they are from everything while at that school!

The plot and suspense surrounding Dean and Leo was so well done, both of them grew as people but in different ways and acceptances of their true nature! Dean was a tough villian and truly kept to his hatrid of Leo. I would have loved to give this a 5 star rating, but the dubious consent wasn’t needed to drive the story as much as I guess the author wanted it to be! Dean already had so much rage and anger that his schemes didn’t have to include dubious consent encounters.

I loved Leo and Anna as friends to lovers, they are extremely so cute and fluffy characters with one another! I was a bit frustrated with their miscommunication and i was begging them to talk but they needed to grow separately and come back together stronger than ever. Both of their growth was stellar and it shows they truly are lovers for life! This was still an entertaining and high stakes read that I enjoyed a lot!

Review:

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this series, I’m a sucker for a heirs book and Sophie lark knows her audience well.

The first book focused on Leo Gallo (the son for Sebastian and yelena) and Anna Wilks (the daughter of miko and nessa).

The children are sent away for a remote school, the school is made for the children of the world’s best criminals. It teaches them how to work so they are ready to inherit their families dynasties.

Leo and Anna have been best friends their whole lives , but some point not long ago their feelings for each other grew from friends to wanting more, they only problem was, they didn’t voice this.

The book not only follows the love story but the family rivalry between Dean and Leo, things get even more complicated when Anna ends up on deans arm.

This book was so enjoyable to read , it had drama and spice and friendships as well. I’m really looking forward to reading the other books in this series.

The first half of the book was a lot of character development and little plot, so I wasn’t hooked, but for some reason I kept reading. But towards the end, I liked it more. The writing felt juvenile at times, and random details that didn’t feel important were dragged out but important stuff wasn’t dug into deeper.

Didn’t really enjoy Anna, Leo, OR Dean but I’m going to keep reading the series anyways because I’m intrigued 🤷‍♀️
