I expected more from this follow up to the incredibly written The Talisman. It was good, just not GREAT.

This has to be my least favorite Stephen King book/story.
Second time read. I remembered not liking it much the first time, but this time I enjoyed it better. It was a somewhat gruesome, weirdly, I don’t think SK often writes about child serial killers. The tie(s) to the Dark Tower series are obvious and enlightening for those on the journey. And Jack (The Talisman) as an adult is a great hero! Loved reading about his life again.
A thinly plotted, sentimental, dark(ish) fantasy that comes complete with the standard Kingisms, making it an over-familiar read lacking in mystery and suspense.
