After an exciting first book I was looking forward to this one too, however I didn’t find it as good. Some places the pacing seemed a little slow as there was so much detail to take in. The last part of the book was fast paced and exciting. I would have preferred a little more humour like the first book and a little bit of romance. In saying that I will be listening to the next book when it is released.
I really, really wanted to love this book.
I liked it, and enjoyed it. Definitely did not hated it. But it just felt like there was a lot of nothing happening.
I felt for Lou, I felt for Reid, I felt for our loved secondary characters. But I missed the spark of S&D.
That said, I’ll be impatiently waiting for book #3, I have high expectations, as I still absolutely love the writing and the characters, but this book could of been so much more.
