i am excited to finish this series. i've heard so many good things, and know how much people love this series.
starting this series i felt it was pretty slow. towards the ending i started really feeling for the characters and wanting to know what was going to happen.
i am excited to see neil and what decisions he will make to protect himself, but also not having to keep hiding and giving up on the things he wants.

I couldn't stop thinking about these characters while reading, I was at work imagining and thinking about them, what would happen next. Consider me obsessed <3

As you will probably read in several reviews: people generally do not recommend this book despite giving it 5/5 stars. It’s a fun read, one that I have read over and over again, but it’s not without its flaws. Be sure to read the warnings others post.

Describing The Foxhole Court (and The All for the Game series as a whole) is difficult. It’s decently written, with interesting character studies; the plot is fairly ridiculous, and borderline non-sensical, but all in all it’s fun. It’s the CW show of your sport’s books.

Start another series, it will be fun they said. Going in I had no idea what kind of investment I am walking into. Holy shiz. This series is very character driven, with intense found family vibes, very dark undertones and no romance in sight. Yet if you delve into the plot more, I see you, love affair. I have my solid ship. I don’t know where this will take us next but the ending got me screeching and I am going in blindly once more, to surely get hurt. Listen to your intuition. “I’m fine.”

"If you won't play with me, you'll play for me… You're never going to get there on your own, so give your game to me." // “I don't have perfect control over Andrew, but Kevin owes us his life and I can get to Andrew through him." // "Hey, Nicky…Don't touch him, you understand?" - “You know I'd never hurt him. If he says yes—" - “I said no." // "I'm not a math problem." "But I'll still solve you." // “…don't look back, don't slow down, and don't trust anyone. Be anyone but himself, and never be anyone for too long.” // “Another bit of unexpected honesty.” // “So much for family, hm?" - “I don't believe in family." - “Neither do I." // "Believe this, Neil: you can't put a leash on me. Don't think you can, okay? And don't be stupid enough to tell other people you will. It's not safe. You'll make me want to break you." // “He'd never trust anyone enough to let them in.” // "I like brown." - “Andrew doesn't.” - “Take them out." // "What were you thinking, bringing him here?" // “and I'm—nothing. I'll always have and be nothing." // "Don't touch my things, Riko. I don't share." // “You gave your game to Kevin. Give your back to me." // “Let Andrew give you things if he wants to. He's not normally the gifting type, so it's kind of fun." // "I don't feel for anyone or anything.” // “…and pressed a warm key into Neil's empty palm.” - “Home.” …
