It was pretty good overall. She was very annoying and dumb at the beginning though, and I was glad there was some character development near the middle, because I think people in those camps would have shot that annoying Hannah right from the start. My conclusion: she should've been different near the beginning, but otherwise I loved it.
What a great book! It tells such a sad, tragic story so current day teens can understand what took place in concentration camps - very well written and I love the ending.

It’s a good, historical book that helps paint a clearer picture of what it was truly like. But the whole “she teleported into her grandmas shoes” was a little confusing at first. I understand that it’s just supposed to put her in that place at that time, but the logic of it makes no sense to me. I believe it would be better if the start of the book was the start of being in the grandmas life and at the end it moves into the family holiday after this all. Overall written very very well and clear unlike similar books such as Night. Just feel like the author could have altered the story time line a little.

I think this is a great read!!
I love the way it's written with a modern twist to the Holocaust, showing how Hannah gets to see first hand what her Grandpa and Aunt Eva went through, and teaching her to be grateful for what see has even if see doesn't like it. I think this is a book everyone should read!

I honestly wanted to like the book, due to it's message and all, but couldn't. The main character Hannah rubbed the wrong way, so bratty. There are far more better Holocaust books which would be a better read than this. Don't recommend this at all.
