I'm not big on "chick lit," but this book grew on me. It's not great literature, but it's a good quick read. There are some nice light life lessons about female empowerment.

3.5 stars. Cute, easy read with a lovable dog.

3.5. Easy, cute, silly.

Cute, light storyline, a middle aged mom struggling to pay off debt got a job in LA from an old flame.

Single mother Poppy is on the verge of losing her home when her accountant runs off with her life savings and she's forced to file bankruptcy. An old flame offers her a job on a Hollywood movie set in wardrobe. Poppy is new to this world of movie stardom, iconic costumes and back-lot intrigue. Though she was quite immature for her 50-something age. It's chick lit level funny only worth the Amazon First Reads/Kindle Unlimited download. ~LiteraryMarie

Blech

Can you come of age and go through a revelation of why you are the way you are? yes, you can. I loved Poppy and related to her demeanor throughout the book.

I wish there was a sequel!

This was a fun and light read! My favorite was Kevin the dog (obviously)!

fast paced story. focused on a Poppy's growth and journey of self-discovery.
