The Boardwalk Bookshop is about Bree, Mikki and Ashley. They were complete strangers who wanted to rent a large retail space on a boardwalk. They decided to join forces and rent it together as they all had different business.
The story is about love, loss, family, friendship and how their lives and businesses all come together.
Great audio book. I am a fan of Tanya Eby.
emotional lighthearted
medium-paced

Three separate love stories in one glorious book. All entwined together to make for a great read with lots of great characters and interesting dilemmas. I found myself surprised by how much I didn’t want to put this down

DNF @ pg 131

So boring. These characters are just not it. I thought it would focus more on a the Bookshop aspect instead of the "oh woe is me, I'm in my 40's and single/divorced *holds on to sunhat* how will I just continue living??"
emotional hopeful medium-paced
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: No

This was enjoyable, but I went into this thinking there would be more content regarding books and this was about the lives of three business owners/friends.
Their lives are complicated, maneuvering through challenges to find new beginnings.

The first time I read this book I read it in less than 24 hours. The second time, I read it in less than 36 hours, and that’s because I had to work in between. This is a top-notch lighthearted beach read.
