2.5 stars It wasn't a buddy book nor a romance, I don't think. The women certainly weren't friends. They were business partners and foils.

The book looks at what love and marriage are and what they are not. It's about idealism and regret, pain and surviving. There are some superficial events that take away from a more serious discussion. And, hey, I like Dave. I haven't read too many books that have a wheelchair-bound romantic lead.

Ashley/Seth Storyline Ruined It

If not for the patriarchal Ashley/Seth marriage discussions over and over and over —this would be a decent summer read.

Enjoyable, easy read. A little predictable in the story line, but I liked the journey of each character’s story. Love a good friendship book.
