I enjoyed Hexed. The chemistry btwn Enzo and Vanesa was great from point one and the minor sex scenes were fine for me (I am not a heavy sex or romance girlie). All the back and forth kept the book going forward and I really enjoyed the characters over all.

This was not my favorite book in this series. I didn’t dislike it, but I didn’t love it either. As with previous titles, I enjoyed the references scattered throughout the book which tied it to the original story, in this case, The Little Mermaid. I also think that the author does a great job of making evil characters sympathetic. The reader obviously knows that their actions within the book are not good, but yet they feel justified as the story plays out.

I think where this one fell short for me was that I never really bonded well with Vanesa or Enzo, and because of this, their chemistry wasn’t believable. Overall, this one was just meh, but fans of the series will probably enjoy it.
