This was a 6 star book for me!  Especially after a court of wings and ruin was so terrible. I loved redemption in this book, I laughed, I cried, I was inspired!

Expect:
Training
Fates mates
Found family
Tension
Spice
Strong fmc
Multi POV

Spice 4/5
Overall 6/5!

By far, my favorite of the series. It is a bit jarring to go from a first person POV (Feyre) to a third person POV that exclusively follows Cassian and Nesta.
The growth of Nesta's character and her confrontation of her self-destructive behavior may not appeal to everyone, but I ended up falling in love with her as a character. Cassian is my favorite male SJM character across all three of her series. The found family Nesta makes for herself with Emerie and Gwyn is beautiful to watch unfold. Be warned, Rhys in this book is not the Rhys of the first four ACOTAR books-- whether that is due to Feyre's unreliable narration or Nesta's disdain for her brother-in-law, I was shocked at the transformation.
The only two issues I had with the book are the withholding of pertinent medical information from Feyre which takes away all her agency in the name of "protection". And I hate that a series all about the different strengths of women can end with a total sacrifice of power in favor of "settling down with a family" for both Feyre and Nesta (hinted at in the future).

It will be interesting to see how ACOTAR 6 deals with this and which relationship will be the spotlight of the next book.

Never in a million years did I think I would fall in love with Nesta but here we are! She might be one of the most complicated anti heroes ever, written so cleverly that one minute you hate her, the next you are rooting for her. The book really does take you on her journey to self acceptance and healing. I loved pretty much all of the new characters who all equally had their own challenges to overcome. I could honestly read another 5 books of Nesta and Cassian’s relationship being developed! In terms of the Rhys/Feyre side plot, it was a bit too convenient at the end and I feel the author could have handled it a bit better. The main villain was a miss for me but I loved the character development that much that I didn’t mind. Skip if you’re not a lover of spice as there’s a LOT. But overall my favourite book in the series so far!

After 10 months I've finally found the time to finish this monster of a book. While I've forgotten a lot from the beginning (and I again don't understand why it has taken me so long to finish while I had always taken my book everywhere with me), I know I enjoyed reading it a lot. Cassian being a focus in this book made my heart so happy, and I've gained so much respect for Nesta. While the end wasn't always enjoyable to read, this book did it again to take a place upon that memorable book shelf. It can teach things, and I'm grateful for it. This was a rollercoaster of a ride, but one day I will surely start this story again. I'm so excited what next book will bring!

I know this is a lot of people’s favorite of the series but I had such a hard time getting through it. The middle was so slowwwww. With all the others, I felt compelled to read them, basically couldn’t put them down, but this one didn’t do that for me until the last 200-ish pages. I do love the character arc for Nesta but I knew what was revealed about her LONG before they actually said it. I love the badass woman trope in here and the ability for women to take back their lives and ensure they’d never be hurt again. I can’t fathom that this is really the last book though. There’s so much left undone. Elian’s whole life hasn’t been sorted plus there’s potential war on the horizon. I guess you could write these books forever and keep winding around the violence of the different courts until they all no longer existed or until real peace was attained but is that even a real thing?
