It was interesting to see what the producers and writers thought they were doing and what their intentions were versus what came across on screen. I think it's interesting, for example, that they still hold the belief that their handling of race with the show was given such careful thought and made the show post-racial, when it definitely felt like an afterthought and opened up and whole can of worms that they have not (and likely will not) ever address. I think it would have been more fair to state their intention but acknowledge that they maybe missed the mark of their goal.

Anyway, I mostly read this because I wanted to know more about the costume and set design. That area did not disappoint. I particularly loved reading the set historian's articles and comments about various subjects. Would love to read more of her thoughts on the show and the period it's set in as well as how the changes they made differed from what would have been true to the time.

An inside look into the "Bridgerton" tv show. It gives fun behind the scenes information such as how the show came to be, the story behind certain scenes, the creation of costumes and sets and interviews with the cast and crew. It also has many wonderful photographs. A great read for any "Bridgerton" fan.
