Abandoned - was weird and not really about numbers like I think my sister thought when she put it on hold for me.
When it started getting weird, I headed to the goodreads reviews and read several that talked about how this glorified a relationship with a serial killer? So yes. I am abandoning this one.

For once, a YA Mystery that kept me guessing. I pegged the killer in the beginning of the book and then halfway through, I changed my mind. Then when it was revealed, of course I was like "I knew it!!" LOL. At first I thought the plot was a tad bit lame, but once it thickened I was all in. I liked that I was able to figure out some of the clues and the pattern of the murders but not the murderer for sure. I love a book that keeps me guessing. I cannot wait to read Nearly Found.
Once I got going with this book, I could not put it down! It had not bad boys, murder, twists up until the end, and so much more! I'm glad I could read it during October when things are meant to freak you out. There was so much depth to this story, though, too, and I loved every second!
Meh. This was all right. I thought I called the ending but I didn't, so there is that, but I thought the ending was rushed and I thought Nearly got off pretty easily after all these dead bodies, she clearly left prints all over. I think there are better YA books out there, but this wasn't terrible to pass the time.

I really liked the mystery aspect of the book, I had my suspicions but didn't completely guess the end. Nearly got on my nerves near the end cause she would do kinda reckless stuff. On the other hand, I really liked Reece, though I don't understand what exactly he saw in Nearly. There's another book and I hope it reveals some more stuff about her dad but I don't think I'll be reading it even if it does. Looking back I'm not sure what the point was of her being able to sense what people feel by touching them. It's not what helped her figure things out, she just thought through stuff. I can't think of an instance where her ability helped anything besides her getting to know the people around her more. Could have taken that part out entirely and still have the same story.

A thrilling mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
Nearly Boswell is a senior, trying to last through her last year and earn a scholarship to get away from her home. Sounds easy? Until a string of murders begin to pop up. Each clue hidden in the personal ads. As the mystery unravels, more as at stake for Nearly.
I love the ending so much! All characters seem to have a motive, some stronger than others. I kept asking myself, who to trust? The murders are so cleverly linked; my mind was blown when the pattern was revealed.
Such a good book! I'd definitely recommend it for those who love murder mysteries and serial killers! ;)

3.5 stars.
This was such a fun read and I enjoyed it immensely I loved the little bits of humour amongst all the ciaos and bad things going on with Nearly and I really enjoyed the mystery that kept me guessing right up until the revel which I honestly didn't get or catch onto! I thought of everyone else but not the person it actually was, so that to me was great because usually I'm like yep I know who it is but this time I was as clueless as Nearly and everyone else which kept me on the edge of my seat the whole story which I really appreciated!!
The Plot
I had fun with this story it wasn't anything mind blowingly knew or different but it was a fun, fast paced, thrilling read that kept me on the edge throughout the whole story which doesn't happen to me often which is why I enjoyed this so much more then I would've if I'd known who the killer had been, I also enjoyed the part about her father and how that all tied into the story, and how it wasn't just about someone trying to frame and hurt Nearly and kill people but that it was about Nearly overcoming her own demons within herself and with her friends and family and I enjoyed that aspect because it kind of broke up the story and gave it more depth instead of just being focused n the killer and people dying it gave Nearly and the story more to it so it wasn't so one dimensional. I liked the clues we and Nearly received because I would try to guess them too even though most the time I couldn't but sometimes when I did get something before her it was like YES!!!!!!!! :P
There were times though when I wanted the story to hurry along or for something more to happen I don't really know I just felt like the story lacked something that I can't quiet put my finger on! but if your looking for a fun, fast read that you'll fly through then this is something you should read.
The Characters
I really enjoyed Nearly she was most of the time level headed and I liked her and how she reacted and kept her cool in such shitty times and how she didn't go out of the way like usual main characters do to get themselves killed or other people killed by accident... she was always thinking of the outcome whilst still keeping up with life and staying sane when if I was in this situation I'd probably like stay locked up in my room for life! scary shit! but she wasn't scared which ok that annoyed me a little and was a little unrealistic but it was still cool to see how she took charge of her life and tried to stop everything from going down the shitter. Her relationship with Reece was cute and I did like that and I liked his character and how he was involved in it all and how protective he was of her and I know some people think there relationship was annoying and stupid or whatever because how could she like him when he might be the killer but I think that response is stupid because we clearly know from the start that he isn't and he just has some other fucked up secrets and problems in his life that he isn't telling her about that has nothing to do with the killings, I thought they worked and were good for each other. I loved how they all had "secrets" but most of them weren't really secrets which I found amusing that not everyone was in the dark like usual which made it more interesting to read and see how everyone interacted knowing the things they did. I loved Tommy though if I'm remembering his name correctly!!!! Her bff's were honestly to me just annoying, like Jeremy could eff off and get over himself, yeah I get it and I felt sorry for him with his dad and everything but he was a bit of a douche' to Nearly just because of things she had no control over, like get over it, otherwise I didn't hat his character he just annoyed me a little. Anh she was sweet but it was like a little too sweet and overplayed and with the whole scholarship thing that was sooo annoying and her brother with all those comments about the scholarship pissed me off I wanted to hit him for her. I liked Gena and her fiancé. and I loved Nearly's mum Mona.
Anyway I really did enjoy this story it just fell flat in some places for me and I wanted something more from it and the characters and plot. But it was a fun read that kept me intrigued and wanting to know what happened at the end!
