3.5⭐️ Firstly I’m thrilled that this was dual pov, Cora was really torturing us in the last two books. I felt like I was in the dark too much with them, unlike this one.
Matteo was the redeeming factor of this book. He was so loyal and obsessed with Gianna even when she didn’t deserve it to be honest. No wonder Luca was constantly side eye-ing her, I was too. Considering he’s a mafia man, he was willing to break nearly every rule to protect and keep Gianna.
Gianna’s character disappointed me a bit if I’m honest. The previous books made her seem more passionate and strong, but this book basically showed her having a big childish tantrum for 90% of the book. She was fighting her feelings for Matteo for no reason other than her big ego not wanting to admit he would actually make her happy as a housewife.
Onto the next because I’m too invested in this series now, Cora has mastered the addictive writing style.

I was so excited for this story. I think it gets a lot of hate because it's translated into English and people don't realise that, but the reason it lost points for me is I speak the authors native language and the sass I expected knowing it's apart of their culture was just lacking.
But that could probably be because the idiots who translated it don't know how to explain what an arschgeiger is...?
Matteo is my favourite of the fellas so far but considering our line up that's not that difficult. The story was good but there's a serious lack of plot beyond he's got puppy dog eyes and she's a cat person.
That said we do kind of have a golden retriever mobster so that's nice.

This book is very good. I plan to continue the series and continue to read books from this author if you want to read this author or the series, I would check your trigger warnings first.
Compared to Aria and Val's stories, I really really really like this one. This is what I like from an enemies to lover trope and with so much banter, it was really perfect. The book overall so was well written compared to the other two but the only thing that I wanted to see more of was of Gianna on the run. I felt that part was so vague and did not really give us a glimpse of Gianna's struggles in running away, saving money, meeting people, and her blog. It was nice for once to see the FMC grow from hating her guy to slowly accepting what her heart was saying even though she acted like a complete bitch most of the time, it was nice to see her grow and accept the feelings she has and move along with them. Matteo is a golden retriever through and through no one can change my mind.

What a wild ride! Matteo was a refreshing change from the run in the mill typical strong and silent mafia daddy. We love a morally gray cinnamon roll and a strong female MC who always speaks her mind.
