Mary COOKED and I ATE.

Loved this book. The change of FMC is great. The queen and king are slick with what happens in the end. I love how different they are when they’re apart, walls up and guarded but together they’re who they are at their core.

This is everything I want in a fantasy, enemies to lovers duology. Great world building, great relationship progression - tho I wouldn't say it's slow burn, more like FAST BURN lol. Jase and Kazi are too cute.

I liked this book, it was a good way to pass the time while driving. I did not love the relationship between the main characters because it seemed inauthentic - almost a Stockholm Syndrome situation for both of them. There were a lot of kingdom dynamics that were hard to follow because I couldnt the keep all the alliances straight. I may continue but I’m not sure.

so slow for me and only picked at the very end
