Someone needs to turn this into a TV series immediately!

You know these books that make you feel excited long after you finish? This is one of them.

I’m going to read this again, but each ‘story’ separately and then probably read this again!.

This had me hooked from the get go, fantastic characters, dark events and a fantastic insight in too the film industry.

The book setting along with the writing style of the author, make this such an intense and exciting book.

I couldn’t read this book fast enough and I’m fast! A absolute must read for any thriller fan!

“Every moment on set was just a beginning. Anything could happen next.”

Run Time was a fun read and true popcorn thriller: equal parts bingeable and suspenseful, with nothing particularly scary or violent. Re: its bingeablity, I didn’t even realize how long it was - clocking in at over 500 pages - until after I’d finished it; I was just along for and enjoying the ride, I guess!

December Thriller by the Book Club pick - 3.5/5

I’ve now written this review 3x and keep clicking in the wrong place by accident and losing it (goodreads, your UI needs work!) so at this point I need to keep it brief, haha.

As a horror movie nerd/fangirl I was really looking forward to this one! Hard to say if that fact is a reason why I feel let down or if the book itself is kind of disappointing. It’s tough to say exactly why it is I didn’t love this without massive spoilers so I’ll just say this: this novel flies so close to the sun with meta/self-aware writing to the point where it becomes a bit predictable.

This is a quick read, will keep you entertained and turning the page until the final chapters even once you’ve figured out what’s going down. There are a few more minor twists that did catch me by surprise and I liked that a lot! Ultimately what kept me from giving this 4 stars is the full on dialogue dump at the end, where two characters sit down and explain whodunnit and why-dunnit in great detail, which is disappointing and unfortunate. Using this plot device is just a clear cut signal, to me, that the author either knew they weren’t writing effectively what was happening as it was happening, or they’re treating the reader like they’re dumb.

A great premise with some nice tension and twists, but maybe 100 pages too long.

A story, within a story, within a story.  Adele is hired to play the lead in a horror movie, which is starting to become real.  I didn't guess who was behind it all until almost the end.  It was a creepy, tense and intense read. Lost .5 for ending, tense for over 300 pages, then last 30 or so quickly wrap it up.

Ayyyyy CRH does it again!

The plot: Adele drops everything in LA to return to Ireland and star in a film. Adele hopes this will be her big break after starring in an Irish soap for years. When she gets there though, something isn't quite right and soon the set turns into its own horror film.

I'm such a sucker for media within media and RUN TIME did not disappoint! There was the script within the novel and it was
