I liked this, a book I would remember, a little drawn out and main character did stupid things just like they all do in horror movies, so I didn’t like that part

Honestly, thank the heavens for barn owls/irish mothman.
This book could have been so much more atmospheric, and after googling Beara Peninsula I was left begging for more:(
The plot was very unique to me and the story may be a little slow for some folks. I think it certainly could’ve been a little shorter, however I still enjoyed it! I felt myself rushing to get to the end though - not because I was anxious but because it dragged on a bit. All *me* problems, really.
Still better than most Riley Sager novels:)

I mostly listened to the audiobook of this and it was superbly read. I fear that if I was only reading on kindle, I may have given up somewhere before the middle as this book is just too long. The ending was also a bit underwhelming, I guess I was just expecting something a little more. 3 stars because it did (despite all that) keep me hooked and the atmosphere was really creepy.
