I liked this one better than "The Wizard of Earthsea" I think. However, in both the quest was not exactly a page turner. If you are looking for an exciting quest typical of the fantasy genre, this series isn't really it. Definitely slower pace.
This really goes to show you don’t need to write a tomb of a book to write a wonderful fantasy story. Even without the context of the first book this would be a great read!

Ursula K. Le Guin beni yazılarıyla birçok defa etkilemiş, bana ilham olmuş bir yazar. Bu kitabında da kaleminin gücü inanılmaz bir zevk veriyor. Karakterler, kurgu, akış, duyguların yoğunluğu, ele aldığı konuların bu kadar güzel yedirilmesi, betimlemeler... Her şeyiyle çok güzel bir kitap. Ana karakterler hiçbir ortak özelliğin olmamasına rağmen o kadar benimsiyorsun ki Tenar'ı, yüreğinden geçenleri satır aralarında okuyorsun.
Ben bu seriyi bin kere daha önerdim, bin kere daha öneririm.

I liked the main character and I was excited when Ged showed up, but after he did it seemed the focus of the book was mostly on him/his and Tenar's dynamic. It was pretty slow in the middle for world-building then became more fast-paced towards the end which I was disappointed by cause I wanted more of Tenar's emotional journey after escaping. It felt like a lot of that was glossed over.
I honestly feel dizzy after reading this book, just like i was after the first one. But it’s a fascinating kind of dizzy.

Not as compelling as the first one but still a good, fast and enjoyable reading. Going straight for the third.
