A good book. Realistic fiction about a young man who's determined to be a lawyer. With Grisham's writing and background, it really stands out as feeling authentic.

He's a sweet boy, I think that's what got this the four stars. And, as a lawyer, I gotta love the legal fiction for kids. It's a special niche. The book felt too fast, a bit undeveloped, but, I'm sure that I was just expecting an "adult" grisham novel.

I found this a great concept though the delivery fell short - too long winded and a quick wrap-up. Theo was a great kid and you can easily see that his moral and ethical character will be the focus of any sequel.

3.5 stars. A great middle grade courtroom mystery but too plain for adults. This first book of the series looked promising, though.

Pretty good for a youth's crime novel...explains the judicial system in simple terms and lets you get to know the characters. Unsatisfying ending, but overall I liked it.

Penjelasan soal sistem peradilannya bagus, penokohannya masuk akal.
Tapi jadi rada bingung sebenarnya ini buku anak atau bukan? :P

I enjoyed it. Sometimes it's nice to read a book with a bit of mystery and no slash and gore. I generally like Grisham as an author and this is a solid outing into the YA genre.

Its my fav of his! Hopefully there will be more Theodore books!
