YOUR HONOR I LOVE THEM!! The twists, betrayal, REVELATIONS literally had me sat with my jaw on the floor. My heart is currently split between Oro and Grim and I am unwell. 4.5 because I felt like the writing became repetitive during parts and it took me a bit to initially get into the world since you’re thrown into the action and magic system and have to slowly unravel who’s who and what the curses and backstory are, but damn it drew me in and I can’t wait for book twooooo

God damn I was really confused for most of the book. I didn’t understand the point of the Centennial or how killing someone might end the curse and I kind of had no stakes in it. The romance was off and on good- i would be invested for like a good paragraph and then lose it. I called the big end plot twist pretty early on but didn’t have any evidence, just a hunch, and I lowkey spent the whole book trying to look out for foreshadowing of it and didn’t come up with much. But I enjoyed it and I’m gonna keep reading the series. This was also the first fantasy ish book I’ve read in at LEAST a decade

This is a no for me.

All the plot twists had me in a chokehold...definitely recommend, already starting book 2
