All the plot twists had me in a chokehold...definitely recommend, already starting book 2
This book is absolutely going to be one of my favourite reads of 2025—I’m obsessed.
I have no idea why I didn’t pick this up sooner, but I’m so grateful to the Chaotic Reading Realm for choosing it as our first book. What a way to kick things off!
We follow Isla, who is competing in the Centennial—an event that takes place every 100 years in an attempt to break a powerful curse cast on the world. The stakes are high, the tension is nonstop, and the drama? Immaculate. I honestly couldn’t put it down.
The atmosphere was dark, immersive, and perfectly crafted. The author did an incredible job building the world without it ever feeling confusing or overwhelming.
Isla is such a compelling main character—complex, unpredictable, and really fun to follow. And Grim… oh my god. Definitely my favourite. He’s broody, cocky, and wrapped in layers of mystery. I would love to read from his perspective one day.
And that ending?? Absolutely wild. I live for a drama-filled finale, and this one had me guessing the entire time. I genuinely had no idea which way it would go. I’m now counting the days until I can get my hands on the next book—this series has all the potential to become an all-time favourite.

Honestly, I loved this book! The plot was great although I don’t agree with the general consensus that it’s like Hunger Games. I felt that the plot was rich and the characters development was good. I also loved the twists and turns, I did not get bored reading this book. Overall, I think this was a great read and I’m excited for book #2!

I really like Alex Aster that's why I read these books. The books weren't awful but did have a hard time following it along because the FMC Isla really annoyed me.
The last few chapter in these books is full of action and jaw dropping endings that even when you think you figured things out... well.... you realize that you didn't.
I did like Oro but I failed to see where in the book they "fell in love". That really bothered me throughout the series because I was expecting something different.
This in written for a younger audience as it is YA.... but Isla irritates me. I wanted to slap her around because even when she regains memories and knows the truth she's still as annoying as ever.
I am a Grim girl but that's because I like a morally gray man who will let the world die if it means saving his girl but ISLA Sit the f down and don't touch or say anything just STFU! her and her annoying as plans that NEVER work!
Ugh! and the back and forth between Oro, and Grim ... girl! Decide!

no me arrepiento de no haberle hecho caso a booktok y aventurarme a leer este libro. no voy a mentir, si me costó un poco conectar al inicio, pero una vez que empezó a meterme de lleno a la trama… OMG I WAS HOOKED!!
no me importa lo que digan de este libro, a mi sí me gustó y defenderé a Isla Crown hasta el final de los tiempos. (y al menos yo nunca vi venir ni uno solo de los plot twists, pero también cabe la posibilidad de que yo sea bastante lenta, sooo.)
no le di 5 estrellas porque el final (al menos en el tema deltriángulo amoroso ) lo sentí un poco apresurado y flojo. fuera de eso, amé cada momento, la autora realmente hizo que 100 días se sintieran como nada.
no me importa lo que digan de este libro, a mi sí me gustó y defenderé a Isla Crown hasta el final de los tiempos. (y al menos yo nunca vi venir ni uno solo de los plot twists, pero también cabe la posibilidad de que yo sea bastante lenta, sooo.)
