Mac Lane has the perfect life. Nothing could be going better for her. She and Alina, her sister, are going to move in together and attend college once she comes back from Dublin. During this time, Mac's going to to get her life together and figure out what her purpose is.

At least that was her plan. Now, Mac's stuck piecing together the remnants of her perfect life. Her sister is murdered brutally and no one's trying to solve the mystery.

I absolutely loved this book. This was a great start to a series that I plan to continue!

This is actually my least favorite for the series but i still love this book so i guess that's saying something about it. :)

Siostra bohaterki zostaje zamordowana.

I really wish I had DNF'd, but I felt like it was short enough I could power through on the off-chance it picked up. The writing style wasn't for me, and I found the characters unlikable but above all, completely uninteresting.

Oh my gosh. This protagonist made me miss Rachel Mariana Morgan, and she was terrible. However, in comparison to Mac, even Rachel seems smart and likable. Allow me summarize:
- Main character is vapid, vain, and judgmental
- TSTL heroine goes to Dublin after identifying her sister as the victim in a murder case (How? You’ll never know) to find her sisters killer and being him to justice, with no skills to do neither detective work nor avoiding violence. She then blunders around Dublin throughout the entire book, narrowly avoiding getting herself killed through no skill of her own. (Side note; if the “dark area” covers 18 city blocks in the middle of the city and her destination is 14 blocks in, why the heck doesn’t she just go around so she only has to trek 4 blocks through dangerous territory with naught but her wits (
