Wow, I really loved this book. There’s only really about one, or maybe two if you’re lucky, good series in each troop of paranormal books. I think this is definitely one of the good ones right next to ACOTAR for the Fae books. It was written very well and I love the aspect of her telling her story in the past tense because it was surprisingly not annoying at all. I love that it would give us a little snippets of Mac’s point of you at the conclusion of her story about what she was doing at the time.
So I must admit that Mac was pretty annoying when she would always talk about her clothes and her nails and everything like that but it was okay because I kind of love her character and her personality is very clear put. I see great potential for character development for her that has kind of already started to blossom at the end of this book. And let’s just talk about her massive killing spree at the end of this book. Just a wow! I’m impressed. There’s a lot of promise in these powers that she has and I can see how this book paved way for the entire series at the end.
Spoilers i’ve seen, since I’m late reading this series, tell me that Jericho will be a potential love interest in this book but I don’t know how their relationship will come out like that. This would definitely be a slow burn romance and I feel like when it actually happens it will be amazing. His character is kind of intriguing and I really wanna know more about his backstory because he’s very mysterious in this book. I also want to know what’s up with him and Fiona because Sis got a move to the side because Mac is going to be with him i dont like love triangles. She seems pretty nice but protective and I’m guessing she will become more of important character in the next book since she felt guilty about Mac’s injuries at the end of this book and will most likely get to know her a little better.
I really can’t explain how much I really enjoyed being this. It has potential to be greatness. I can’t really think of anything bad to say about this book other than I was a tad bit annoyed with Mac but it was okay because it never got to the point where I was like cursing her out.
Check point for future Alexis: we end this book after finding the lord master and his portal. Also Mac just felt the Sinsar Dubh for the first time below the roof. Mac also just super killed all of these Unseelie but was injured by the vampire boul. Fiona delt a little guilty for not getting back help right away. Jericho and Mac have gotten a little bit closer but are still a tad bit formal with each other even though that’s just Jericho‘s personality but you know what I mean.

I've known about this book for a long time and I've always been hesitant to pick it up but I said screw it and did. And boy am I glad that I did. Mac is such a quirky likable character she has style and is really sweet and hella determined. The way she handles things isn't annoying it's hella rational and funny sometimes. When her and Barrons started going on 'missions' they made a great team and they worked so well together. This book kinda frustrated me though because Mac and Barrons obviously had chemistry but it was always left unexplored. Actually it's such a slow burn but I hope its worth it. Anyway, the part whereby she was at the museum and V'lane left her practically naked I felt hella second-hand embarrassment for her. Overall, I love the book and can't wait for number 2.

Can I just say one thing though? I didn't think it would be THIS good. It was CRAZY good. Oh dear lord how crazy good and surprising it was. I'm reeling.
I've decided to put everything else on hold until I read this series (minus the spin-off books for now).
Wow!
