Billy Pilgrim was Cinderella. Cinderella was Billy Pilgrim.

Unsure how to rate this, being that it’s such a classic.

It took a while for me to get into it, and I think simultaneously reading the physical book and listening to the Ethan Hawke audiobook performance helped a lot.

It’s a weird, trauma-filled, time traveling book. I didn’t always enjoy it, but it is short, and delightful at times.

The depiction of women leaves something to be desired (justice for Valencia), but the relationships with women are also reflective of one of the many ways trauma seeps into these veteran’s lives.

Entertaining? Yes. Classic? I’m not sure. Perhaps a revisit will up my opinion.

I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I thought I would, but the concept and the story itself was interesting to read and held my interest throughout.
