The beginning of a delightful new cozy mystery series. Lee returns to Salem, MA to interview for a job. She ends up not getting the original job, but finds a dead body. Turns out that the deceased worked for the television network and they need someone to replace her. Lee starts working as a "psychic" for the network as Crystal Moon. Lee discovers that she has some psychic abilities when she pears into black shiny objects. I love the paranormal aspect of this book. What I did not like was the Lee seems to not want to embrace her talent as a seeker. I could not believe what she did with Bridget Bishop spellbook (I will not tell you, but it is unbelievable). The mystery part of the book is very easy to solve. I hope the next book has more paranormal and a mystery that is more difficult to solve.

I did enjoy this. It was a nice break from anything that requires a lot of thinking surprisingly, but for me, most cozy mysteries are just that. A break from the world, that does not require a lot of comprehension. Yes, some of this story was predictable, but I kind of liked it. What wasn't predictable for me, was the WHY behind the motives, so that was interesting. Overall, characters are good and I'd probably continue the series as a background cozy mystery in-between heavy reads.
