Probably the most fun that I’ve had with a book in a long time! This one is for the girlies, the gays & the theys. It’s like if Thelma & Louise adopted a gay baby & injected it with pure queer humour and heart. Gia Rossi is a gay icon!

I feel like I would have loved this book in high school. I think the concept of a mother/son revenge plot-gone-wrong is brilliant, but I think the comedy that was almost exclusively built on Italian & gay stereotypes failed to keep me as amused as I’m sure the author intended. There is something to be said about the compulsive readability though!

I really didn't like the narrator and the characters just weren't working for me at the time

I loved a ton about this book and I recommend it. One star off for some sort questionable class stuff. Ok this will be controversial but I don’t see the author’s birthplace in any “bio” or interview and the Jersey single mom’s dialogue didn’t ring true to me, a Jersey single mom. Not surprised he lives in NY state with a bulldog is all I’m saying!

short chapters, SO easy to read, I absolutely whizzed through it in a little over 24 hours, the bulk of the reading was done in one sitting!! started off thinking it may be a little cheesy/gimmicky but once i got into the plot a bit more i realised how much substance there was to the story and the characters, and the whole thing was gripping, exciting and exhilarating - i couldn’t wait to find out what would happen next and how the story would end. HIGHLY recommend reading if you’re into young adult/contemporary novels, and very much enjoyed the representation of LGBTQ+ romance as a sub plot to the story !
