Too many fade to black moments would have been way better without

Oh my! Oh my! Oh my! I don’t think I was expecting the spice in this one to hit as hard as it did.

The dynamic is always going to hit differently when there are more people involved in the relationship, but this was an unexpected delight.

This is my 3rd book by Charlie Novak and I thought I knew what to expect: I was wrong..

I adored watching the relationship between these three grow.

Charles & Jude are married, partners in every sense of the word and have an open relationship. Their reasons for this, is for them to tell, I can appreciate their level of openness and communication within their own relationship but also when adding someone into their dynamic. Whether it be for a night or for more.

Orlando is fun. He is light, laughter & love personified and I adored everything about him. He made it easy to want to be a part of his story which made it easy to understand how he fit in with Charles & Jude so effortlessly. His ability to see inside of their relationship without any prodding made him the perfect piece to complete their puzzle.

I enjoyed falling along with these three as they learned to build their relationship while still honoring what brought them together.

I've been waiting and waiting for Orlando's book ever since I read Always Eli, which was forever ago, and it was exactly what I hoped it would be! Orlando is just such a fun character, and he's so sweet, and I think Charles and Jude were perfect for him! This book was filled to the brim with filthy, sexy scenes, but also with a lot of nice emotional moments. The only reason is not getting a full 5 stars from me is because I do wish it had had more moments of their relationship growth in the page. There was a lot of time skipping where I just wish we'd seen maybe some texting between them or something to really solidify how close they were growing to each other when they weren't living together or spending a ton of time together yet.

I know that humans aren't flat, but I really can't seem to get a handle on Jude and Charles' relationship and it's driving me nuts. If there's no power dynamic outside the bedroom that's fine, but there is and it keeps adjusting. I think that's just how a dominant and a switch match up, but it's driving me nuts I can't get a handle on. (Obv a me issue.) Then there's Orlando, as opposed to the other two who have lots going on in the personality department, he has none but "adorable slut". (No shame.) Yet these two men are all "he's amazing. I'm super possessive of him already." Why? I don't even know what he's like. Which is what's really making it difficult to stay in the story - It's all insta. The sex was good though.

sorry but i don't want to read a book that only has idealised versions of a conversation and no dialogue that actually feels real! also i am bored of every book with any sort of kink in it needing to have a traffic lights safe word convo. my friends, you can use anything you want as a safe word, including (oh my god): no. the horror! anyways, i'm feeling a bit mean but really, i deserve better.
