mysterious slow-paced

This book was not it. So much repetition of scenes between characters POV. It wanted to be super elusive and kept hinting at things over and over but when the reveals happened…they were underwhelming. I have no interest it continuing the series. The storyline had potential but the characters were under developed. Read something else.

It was a good book but extremely slow… I love a good slow burn but damn this was extremely slow. Extra slow. The most slow.

I usually never read trilogies but damn this is so good the mysteries are not easily knowndo because of that I am moving on to the next book.

Good popcorn thriller! Predictable though. Gave me Freida McFadden vibes!

DID NOT FINISH

Should stop trying to read Christmas books I think lmaoo

This book took way too long for anything to actually happen. I enjoyed the parts that actually got the plot going but most of the time I was just reading about build up. I do get that it is just the first book in the series so it’s possible that the others are more interesting. I did see the twist of Erin being in love with Jessie coming a mile away. Once that was over and Aaron was dead I kinda didn’t care. It felt like the build up was for nothing. It wasn’t bad but I just don’t think it was interesting enough for me to be invested in it.

This book was ok but nothing special. I figured out one of the twists early on, and I just needed to see how it came into play. While the book was fairly short, I felt like it went on too long. I read this book since it's Christmastime and I was looking for something seasonal. While the events took place during a Christmas party, there was nothing holiday-ish about this book. 3 solid stars.
