It's a big universe to be angry at but a long life to have company in.

There's something in all Backman stories that just strike right at the heart of what it means to love your heart's people.

A beautiful, personal story about watching someone with dementia or alzheimer's slowly slip away.

"It turned into a small tale of how I’m dealing with slowly losing the greatest minds I know, about missing someone who is still here..."

We all know that death is a certainty, and it’s just a matter of time, but what if your brain stops working before your body? It’s more awful, right, to miss someone who's still here. That's what this book is about. I’ve never cried because of a novel before, but thanks to this, I had a good cry. So when you are in need of a short and emotional read, this one is a good pick. It’s beautifully written, full of wisdom, love, laughter, and tears. Such a mix of feelings, but it makes you appreciate life and the memories of your loved ones, not taking anything for granted.
