I received this as a first reads.
Once again, I am amazed with what Sarah Addison Allen does! I re-read [b:Garden Spells|1158967|Garden Spells|Sarah Addison Allen|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1347309330s/1158967.jpg|2689445] in December and I fell in love with it again. First Frost definitely follows in this tradition.
First Frost brings you back to the Waverley's and Bascom and you feel like you've come back to visit old friends. You recognize them, but at the same time they have continued to grow and change as people and you love learning about the new facets of their personalities and you love getting to know them even better. I loved being in Bascom in Garden Spells, and it was such a treat to come back and visit for a spell.
I don't want to gush too much, so I'll wrap this review up. I love series, because want to be able to go back to worlds and friends I love in as many books as possible. That being said, sometimes the sequels are a let down. I am very happy to say that First Frost is not that kind of sequel. It continues the spirit of Garden Spells while continuing on with it's own story. If you decide to visit the Waverley's you will not be disappointed....that is until you turn the last page and have to come back to reality, but hey that's what re-reading is for! ;)
Thank you for another amazing book Sarah!

SAA, you've done it again!

As charming and wholesome as the first book. Can we have more in the series, please?

Because I was so eager to return to the world of the Waverly sisters, I started reading “First Frost” immediately after finishing “Garden Spells”!

We’re reunited with the Waverly sisters about ten years later. And in some ways they’ve both changed so much. In others, not-so-much.

Claire Waverly is still chugging along as a business owner. Only now, she’s in the business of candy. Unfortunately, things aren’t going the way she would like.

Sydney Waverly is having problems of her own. She’s got a teenage daughter, a thriving hairstyling business…but, there’s one more thing she really wants.

Also, we get to know Bay Waverly a little more in this book. Sydney’s, now teenage, daughter has grown up! And her gift is causing her pain and heartbreak.

Would Ms. Allen PLEASE give us more Waverlys?!

Love this family and the other families we were just introduced to. (Matteson, Youngs, ainsleys),...I vibe this book 5 stars for the anticipation of many books to come...other wise I world go with 4 . 5 for too many storyline left open.

I devoured all of Sarah Addison Allen's books! I was thrilled when I found out that this book would be all about the Waverley's as I just adore their characters. Thanks so much, Sarah, for writing such delicious books. Cannot wait for the next one!!!

This one lived up to my hopes and then some. It was great to spend time with the Waverley's again, though the visit was brief. I couldn't put this one down.
