I wanted to read this book before the movie came out, so I picked up this graphic novel version.
I had tried to read it many years ago and it didn't really suck me into the story, basically I thought it was sort of weird.
This adaptation is alright, but I still find the story a bit strange and difficult to relate to in general.
Pros: Mom scientist
Main character-Meg with some bravery and a strong personality
Aunt Beast--Who doesn't love a character that represents kindness
Calvin who is up for an adventure
Cons:
The creepy look of Charles Wallace when he was taken over by IT
Weird brain representation of IT

SO GOOD so good sogood read it now.

I don't know how it would hold up had I not read the book as a kid. Let's be real, I love this book more than almost anything. It's defined a lot of who I am. But this graphic novel caught it really, really well.

As a reader who has tried to read A Wrinkle in Time a few times and been unsuccessful, this was an easily digestible version of a story I knew I should have in my repertoire. I enjoyed it.
It's been a while since I read AWiT in the original form and I totally forgot about its overtly religious elements.

I hesitated to read this because the original is my favorite book of all time. But I found the graphic novel to be a delightful celebration of the original text.
