It's been a long time since I've read the original (though I'll be doing so again soon) - but I think this graphic novel does it justice. It's well paced and conveys all the sentiment and plot you need to appreciate how great Ms. L'Engle is.

This graphic novel was a good representation of the novel. My only problem with the graphic novel was in the illustrations. There is many references to colors in the story and by using only blue it seemed to leave all that important imagery behind, with no references in the text either. Overall, it was an interesting concept to bring this story to graphic novel form and, besides the coloring, I think it was a solid transfer of platforms.

Not sure if I’m just too tired or because came off of a 6 star read but this was not for me. Maybe if I’d read the book or watched the movie I would have liked it more? Who knows.

One of my favorite books, and I loved this new version of it. Definitely worth a reread in any case, but as a graphic novel, it just adds more to discover about the story.

Same awesome story, now with pictures.

I'm sure this story was groundbreaking when it first came out. I just think there's so many new science fiction books out there that have done this idea so much better now and without the OVERT religious-ness of it all. A classic book, but meh.

TW: kidnap, mild violence

A Wrinkle in Time has some interesting characters such as a the man with the red eyes which hypnotises people into submission. I enjoyed the premise of this book although in graphic novel form and the chaotic narrative this is probably one of the tougher ones I've had to read along with Persepolis. Both of which I would need to re-read.

This book gives me Dr Zeus vibes with Mrs Whatsit, Mrs who, Mrs Which and many other quirky, witty and whimsicle characters. It also reminds me of His Dark Materials and dust in relation to the atoms forming. The use of props such as glasses being a magical item which allows you to see the unseen gives me nostalgic feels of The Spiderwick Chronicles when the monacle is used to see Mulgarath which his sister and mom use to defeat him and the other monsters.

A ⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me, in parts I found it a little too strange! Looking forward to watching the movie next although in parts I found this confusing to keep up with.
